BCCM/LMBP hosts

Last data update: 15 March 2017

Up-to-date, validated data are enclosed with the biological material. Nevertheless, these data are a snapshot at a given moment; further updates are always possible.

By default, microbial host strains will be provided as 1 ml non-competent fresh culture at ambient temperature. Upon request, chemo-competent cultures will be delivered on dry ice.

Cell lines will be shipped on dry ice too.

Bacterial host strains

In the frame of the BCCM/LMBP ISO9001:2008 certification, the bacterial host strains are submitted to a purity and a viability test. The authenticity is not tested.

Note concerning the genetic description of a bacterial strain: BCCM/LMBP refers to 'F', 'λ' or 'Hfr' only in case the strain carries this character.

Escherichia coli

Lactococcus lactis

Yeast host strains

Although not yet included in the BCCM/LMBP ISO9001:2008 certification, the yeast host strains are submitted to a purity and a viability test. The authenticity is not tested.

Candida albicans

Cell line host strains

Although not yet included in the BCCM/LMBP ISO9001:2008 certification, the cell line host strains are submitted to quality control tests.
