Sciensano: a new host institution for BCCM/IHEM
The BCCM/IHEM collection of biomedical fungi is currently housed by the Belgian Scientific Institute of Public Health (WIV-ISP). In 2017, the latter will merge with the Veterinary and Agrochemical Research Centre (CODA-CERVA) to form a new institute named Sciensano. Both partners will join their efforts in science and health for the benefit of the Belgian population and livestock. Practically, there is no change in the management and functioning of BCCM/IHEM. It is rather an opportunity to reinforce its veterinary sub-collection and services.
