Working out ABS: ICC Conference on EU Regulation on Access and Benefit Sharing – 24-25 November, Paris, France

Pressure is on for any company or organization, accessing and utilizing genetic resources to comply not only with the newly entered into force Nagoya Protocol, but also the arising national and regional laws such as the recently adopted EU Regulation on Access and Benefit-sharing (ABS).

To help businesses and researchers better understand their obligations under the new EU ABS regulation, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) is organizing a conference: “Working out ABS: preparing to comply with the new EU rules on Access and Benefit Sharing” on 24-25 November 2014 in Paris.

This conference will help companies and organizations which utilize GRs in their R&D to better understand how the new Regulation will affect their internal operations and supply chains; also the legal financial consequences of non-compliance.
