Services and contract research

For all our other services (isolation, purification, characterization of strains, determination MIC's (NCCLS)) and extended research projects, cost estimates can be provided without any obligation and on a confidential basis. The price will depend on the technique(s) employed, quantity and the number of hours required.

(1)Only to the depositor or to third parties with the depositor's written authorisation.

(2)A new batch for long term storage is prepared when necessary, for example when the batch is depleted.


Additional charges

Packaging and shipping fee will be added per shipment. Courier cost will be charged only in case when the customer prefers shipment by courier and when the customer has no local courier account number.

Handling fee and banking charges will be charged per invoice.

A discount of 10% is offered when ten or more publicly available biological resources are ordered at the same time.

bOnly possible if you have a BCCM/IHEM customer number, which will be allocated to your company/laboratory after your first order.


Specifications to be mentioned in the order form/letter for sample supply

For strains from the public collection, please specify:

  • the exact identification of the requested materials (name and IHEM accession number);
  • the form of supply: freeze-dried, active, genomic DNA;
  • the invoice address if different from the shipping address;
  • in case of payment by credit card: name of credit card holder, credit card number, expiry date.


Material Transfer Agreement

Material from the public BCCM/IHEM collection is supplied under the conditions of the BCCM Material Transfer Agreement (MTA). The recipient accepts the terms and conditions of this MTA by placing an order with BCCM/IHEM.
