Price list

⁽¹⁾ Reduced fee if the deposit is made after June 30: 148,00 EUR.

⁽²⁾ In case the host is not available at BCCM/LMBP and has to be furnished by the depositor, an extra fee of 26,00 EUR will be charged for purity and viability check, batch preparation, cryopreservation and safe-keeping at -80°C.

⁽³⁾ On request, but highly recommended at the start of the safe deposit.

⁽⁴⁾ Only to the depositor or to third parties with the depositor's written authorisation.

⁽⁵⁾ A new batch for long-term storage is prepared when necessary, for example when the batch is depleted.

In case the host is not available at BCCM/LMBP and has to be furnished by the depositor, an extra fee of 155,00 EUR will be charged for the appropriate activities mentioned above in italic.

Additional charges

Each order of biological material is subject to a handling, packaging, shipping (postal services) and bank fee of 13,00 EUR.

On specific request, shipment by a courier is also possible, but at the customer’s own expense.

Each invoice for services other than supply of biological material is subject to an administrative fee of 13,00 EUR.

Shipping of Biohazard Group 2 material must follow the special requirements from the UN Model Regulations for correct packaging and shipping of Dangerous Goods. This implicates that a special type of packaging must be used and that the parcel must be transported by a recognized courier, at the customer's own expense. Please inform us of your international courier account number or confirm that we can add the courier costs to the invoice.

VAT (21%) will be charged, if applicable.

A discount of 5% is offered when ten or more publicly available biological resources are ordered at the same time.

^a The first order should be sent on an order form or letter with official letterhead, signed by an authorized person.

^b Only possible if you have a BCCM/LMBP customer number, which will be allocated to your company/laboratory after your first order.

Specifications to be mentioned in the order form/letter for sample supply

For samples from the public collection, please specify:

• the exact identification of the requested materials (name and accession number);
  
  
• the format of the material in case plasmids are ordered ^c
  
  
• how you would like us to ship the materials ^d;
  
  
• the invoice address if different from the shipping address;
  
  
• a credit card number with expiry date and the 'Card Verification Code' (CVC) for possible payment by credit card;
  
  
• VAT (Value Added Tax) number, if existing.
  
  

^c 1 ml plasmid-carrying (E. coli) culture, grown to saturation in selective, liquid (LB) medium, or min. 5 microgram DNA as an aqueous solution

^d By default, BCCM/LMBP resources are shipped by regular mail at ambient temperature. Shipment by a courier is also possible, but at the customer’s own expense. In that case, please inform us of your local courier account number or confirm that we can add the courier costs to the invoice.

Material Transfer Agreement

Material from the public BCCM/LMBP collection is supplied under the conditions of the BCCM Material Transfer Agreement (MTA). The recipient accepts the terms and conditions of this MTA by placing an order with BCCM/LMBP.
