Further information: Personal communications of Prof. Dr M. Herrington: The E. coli K12 DH5αpir116 variant appears to have lost the Tn10 and is consequently tetracycline sensitive.

BCCM/GeneCorner could not experimentally confirm the nalidixic acid resistance, conferred by gyrA96, nor the tetracycline resistance, conferred by Tn10.
