-

Cloned DNA: Klebsiella oxytoca class I integrase gene (intl1); fragment
Klebsiella oxytoca quaternary ammonium compound resistance protein gene (qacEdelta1); fragment
Open reading frame (ORF); function unknown
Promoter: Escherichia coli lac operon promoter
Ribosome
binding site:
Ribosome binding site (RBS) of the Escherichia coli lac Z gene (lacZ)
Terminator: -
Selection marker: Ampicillin (amp)
Kanamycin (kan; amikacin; tobramycin)
Streptomycin (Sm; spectinomycin (Sp))
Gentamicin (Gm; tobramycin (tob))
Replicon: Escherichia coli plasmid pMB1 origin
Host range: Escherichia coli
Parental clone: pUC19; pACM1
Further information: The plasmid was constructed by inserting the HindIII/EcoRI fragment of Klebsiella oxytoca plasmid pACM1 into pUC19, and deleting the SmaI fragments and NruI fragments. The NruI site was lost in religation.
The plasmid contains the complete integron cassettes aacA1, conferring resistance to antibiotics containing the purpurosamine ring, including amikacin, kanamycin and tobramycin, aacA4, conferring resistance to gentamicin and tobramycin and aadA1, conferring resistance to streptomycin and spectinomycin.
