Genecorner:

-

Cloned DNA: Aequorea victoria green fluorescent protein DNA (GFP); yeast enhanced sequence (yEGFP)
Promoter: Candida albicans actin promoter (ACT1)
Ribosome
binding site:
-
Terminator: Candida albicans alpha-glucosidase terminator (MAL2)
Selection marker: Ampicillin (amp)
Candida albicans HIS1; auxotrophic
Replicon: Escherichia coli plasmid pMB1 origin
Host range: Escherichia coli
Candida albicans; his1(-), integrative
Parental clone: pUCCaHis1-1; pACT1PyEGFP3T-1
Further information: This plasmid was constructed by inserting the SmaI/HindII fragment from pUCCaHIS1-1, containing the Candida albicans HIS1 coding sequence, between the XmaI and PvuII sites of pACT1PyEGFP3T-1. The orientation of the inserted fragment is antisense relative to the ampicillin resistance gene.
pACTyEGFPTH is a stable integrative vector for C. albicans and shows constitutive expression of yeast enhanced green fluorescent protein (yEGFP3).
pACTyEGFPTH can be used as a positive control in fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) of C. albicans GFP expression strains.
The origin of the sequence between the MAL2 terminator and the yEGFP3 sequence is unknown.
Other name of the plasmid is pACT1PyEGFP3TH-1.
