|New search||Print data sheet|
|Price category:||Cat. 1 (cf. price list)|
|Status:||GeneCorner non-core plasmid|
|Promoter:||Mouse Mx promoter|
|Terminator:||Simian virus 40 polyadenylation signal (SV40 polyA)|
|Selection marker:||Ampicillin (amp)|
|Replicon:||Escherichia coli plasmid pMB1 origin
Simian virus 40 bidirectional origin (SV40)
|Host range:||Escherichia coli
Mammalian cells; SV40 permissive cells
|Parental clone:||pAT153; pSP64Mx; pSV23S|
|Further information:||The plasmid was constructed as follows : 1) The Mx promoter was isolated as a HindIII-SmaI fragment from pSP64Mx; 2) The SV40 small t- antigen splicing signal and the SV40 polyadenylation signals were isolated as an NcoI (filled in with Klenow) - BamHI fragment from pSV23S; 3) These two fragments were cloned into the HindIII-BamHI opened pAT153 vector, whereby the NcoI site was restored after ligation to the SmaI site
pATMxpA1 contains the SV40 small t-antigen splicing signal.
The Mx promoter is inducible by type I-interferon treatment.
The functionality of the SV40 origin was not experimentally verified.
