The nucleotide sequence of the E. coli aqpZ coding sequence corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number U38664.1, except for the silent nucleotide changes at positions 3 (G->C) and 294 (C->G) and the nucleotide change at position 295 (G->C) leading to a V99L codon change.
