| Further information: | The plasmid was constructed by inserting the human heme oxygenase cDNA (hHemeOx) as an EcoRI fragment in the unique EcoRI site of the polylinker of pBluescriptIISK-. The human heme oxygenase cDNA has an internal EcoRI site and can be isolated as two EcoRI fragments. When cloning a fragment downstream from the lac promoter it may be advisable to use lacI(q) strains in order to prevent fortuitous expression of a possibly noxious polypeptide. The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT727551.1. The nucleotide sequence of hHemeOx corresponds with the Genbank accession number X06985.1. Name mentioned in Keyse et al. (1989) is clone 2/10. Other name of the plasmid is pBlueSK-heme oxygen. |
