Plasmid name: pBode (LMBP 2597)
|Price category:||Cat. 1 (cf. price list)|
|Status:||GeneCorner core plasmid|
(View with Genome Compiler)
|Cloned DNA:||BK virus DNA (BKV); fragment of the Gardner strain
|Promoter:||BK virus early promoter (BKV early)
BK virus late promoter (BKV late)
|Selection marker:||Ampicillin (amp)|
|Replicon:||Escherichia coli plasmid pMB1 origin
BK virus origin (BKV)
|Host range:||Escherichia coli
|Further information:||The plasmid was constructed by inserting the HindIII C-fragment of the BK virus (BKV; Gardner strain) into the unique HindIII site of pML (early region near to the EcoRI site of pML). pML (or pML-I) is a pBR322 derivative with deletion of the poison sequences (from pBR322 position 1094 to 2483).|
|EMBL Accession number:||-|
|Latest sequence update:||03/11/2003|
|Authenticity test:||Restriction enzyme pattern analysed at GeneCorner: BamHI/EcoRI, EcoRI, HindIII and PvuII/XmnI.
Referring to the expected fragment sizes deduced from the compiled nucleotide sequence, the presence, the length and the orientation of the BK virus insert could be confirmed, but the vector part of the plasmid seems to be 1000 bp larger.
|History of deposit:||This plasmid was deposited by Prof. Dr G. Barbanti-Brodano(1).
