Further information: | pCAGGS-E-hbeclin-1-a is useful for highly efficient expression of human BECN1 under control of the AG promoter and the hCMV-IE enhancer in various mammalian cells. When cloning a fragment downstream from the lac promoter it may be advisable to use lacI(q) strains in order to prevent fortuitous expression of a possibly noxious polypeptide. The nucleotide sequence of the human BECN1 cDNA corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number AF077301.1 except for the G-nucleotide in position 576, the G-nucleotide in position 660 and the C-nucleotide in position 1158, which have been replaced by an A-, A- and T-nucleotide respectively, each resulting in a silent point mutation. |
