Further information: | The human ELAV-like 1 cDNA was amplified by PCR and fused as a Sal/KpnI fragment in the SalI/KpnI opened pCAGGSFLAGmCASP-11m2 plasmid, in frame with the N-terminal FLAG epitope tag. pCAGGS-FLAG-hHuR is useful for highly efficient expression of hHuR under the control of the AG promoter and the human CMV-IE enhancer in various mammalian cells. When cloning a fragment downstream from the lac promoter it may be advisable to use lacI(q) strains in order to prevent fortuitous expression of a possibly noxious polypeptide. The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT726998.1. The nucleotide sequence of the HuR cDNA corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number BC003376.2. Other name of the plasmid is pCAGGSFlagHuR. |
