Further information: | The plasmid was constructed by inserting the human manganese superoxide dismutase cDNA (hMnSOD) as an EcoRI fragment from pSP-MS84 (Y. Beck) into the EcoRI digested pCAGGSPy vector. pCAGGShMnSOD is useful for highly efficient expression of human MnSOD under the control of the chicken β-actin/rabbit β-globin hybrid promoter (AG) and the human CMV-IE enhancer in various mammalian cells. The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT727340.1. The nucleotide sequence of the human MnSOD cDNA corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number Y00472.1, with minor corrections in the 5' and 3' UTR after sequence analysis at the Department of Biomedical Molecular Biology (Ghent University, Belgium). Other name of the plasmid is pCAGGS-huMnSOD. |
