| Further information: | The plasmid is designed for high-level expression of a recombinant protein, fused to the N-terminal mLck myristoylation-targeting peptide and FLAG epitope tag, under control of the strong hCMV-IE promoter and enhancer in mammalian cells. The mLck myristoylation-targeting sequence directs the fusion protein to cellular membranes. The parental clone of this vector has been shown to provide resistance to kanamycin, although growth was reduced compared to growth on medium containing ampicillin. The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT727010.1. Other names of the plasmid are pCD-Lck-Flag-b and pCD-Lck-Flag. |
