Further information: | The construction of this plasmid is described by Pla et al. (1995). pRM1 is a non-integrative, double-ARS shuttle vector for Candida albicans strains. The presence of both C. albicans autonomously replicating sequences ARS2 and ARS3 allows direct recovery in Escherichia coli of non-multimerized plasmids from C. albicans transformants without any intermediate step in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. When cloning a fragment downstream from the lac promoter it may be advisable to use lacI(q) strains in order to prevent fortuitous expression of a possibly noxious polypeptide. The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT727194.1. The nucleotide sequence of the Candida URA3 DNA corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number X14198.1. |
