Plasmid name: pSV23 (LMBP 1194)
|Price category:||Cat. 1 (cf. price list)|
|Status:||GeneCorner non-core plasmid|
|Promoter:||Simian virus 40 early promoter (SV40 early)|
|Terminator:||Simian virus 40 polyadenylation signal (SV40 polyA)|
|Selection marker:||Ampicillin (amp)|
|Replicon:||Escherichia coli plasmid pMB1 origin
Simian virus 40 bidirectional origin (SV40)
|Host range:||Escherichia coli
Mammalian cells; SV40 permissive cells
|Parental clone:||pSV22S; pURSV(A)tss-D6|
|Further information:||pSV23 is derived from pSV22S by deleting the small t-antigen splicing signal as a MboI fragment (corresponding to the MboI sites at nucleotide positions 4100 and 4710 of SV40).
Since prokaryotic part is derived from pAT153, there are no 'poison' sequences present.
Designed for transient expression in COS cells and constitutive expression in CHO cells (cotransfection with DHFR plasmids).
Expression sites: AccI, HindIII, SalI and XbaI which are all unique.
This plasmid does not contain the SV40 small t-antigen splicing signal.
It is presumably possible to clone into the unique AvrII and/or StuI site for expression, but this has not been tested.
Other name of the plasmid is pSV2-3tss-.
