| Further information: | The plasmid was constructed as follows: 1) The E6L gene (cDNA copy of the light chain of the mouse monoclonal antibody E6) was first cloned as a HindIII-SalI fragment from pSV23SE6L into pPLcT73, resulting in the intermediate construction pPLcT73E6L; 2) The E6L gene was then cloned as an XbaI fragment from pPLcT73E6L into the XbaI opened pSV51 vector (nucleotide position 3087 and 3636). This plasmid is similar to pSV51E6H, exept for the cloned gene. The E6L gene is under control of the late promoter of SV40. The 3' untranslated region still contains 15 dC-nucleotides of the dG/dC-tail as a result of the cDNA cloning strategy. Name mentioned in De Sutter et al. (1992) is pSV51E6L. |
