Further information: | pUC18gMIL6 was constructed as follows: the BamHI fragment of M13mp18gMIL6, containing the 5' flanking region, the promoter, the first and second exon, the entire first intron and part of the second intron of the genomic mouse interleukin 6 DNA (mIL6), was cloned anticlockwise into the unique BamHI site of pUC18. When cloning a fragment downstream from the lac promoter it may be advisable to use lacI(q) strains in order to prevent fortuitous expression of a possibly noxious polypeptide. The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT727547.1. The nucleotide sequence of the genomic mouse interleukin 6 DNA corresponds with the Genbank accession number M20572.1. Other name of the plasmid is pUC18MIL6g. |
