Further information: The plasmid was constructed by replacing the R149 codon of the human MALT1 coding sequence in pcDNA3.1-Flag-hMALT1-N with a P2A peptide.
The R149[P2A] substitution emulates the autoprocessing of human MALT1. When cloned into a full-length MALT1 construct, it will generate the spontaneously active p76 fragment.
This construct is useful for studies of the function of MALT1 autoprocessing, generating equimolar ratios of N- and C-terminal fragments.
The nucleotide sequence of the wild type human MALT1 cDNA corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number AF130356.2.
