| Further information: | This plasmid carries the cI857 repressor gene as well as a compatible origin for PL plasmids. The orientation of the fragment between nucleotide 4 and 57 is unknown. This fragment was fortuitously picked up during construction and originates from phage λ's O gene. The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT727023.1. The nucleotide sequences of the phage λ promoters and of the cI857 repressor gene correspond with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number J02459.1. Other names of the plasmid are pMC931cI857 and pcI857ts. |
