Services at the BCCM/MUCL Agro-food and Environmental Fungi Collection

Mycological service analyses

BCCM/MUCL provides mycological services for fungi related to agro-industry or the environment.

Samples of clinical origin cannot be accepted at BCCM/MUCL. Analyses on such samples are performed by the BCCM/IHEM collection.

To order an analysis, please submit your samples together with a letter that specifies the type of analysis requested. Specifications may also be given by e-mail, which should arrive before the samles and should make clear reference to the samples concerned.

Service reports are included in the prices.

Collaboration

BCCM strives for long term and interdisciplinary partnerships, in the form of contractual and collaborative research.

Research that aligns with our missions to preserve and to characterize fungal resources and diversity and to foster their application will be considered.

Collaborations could take the form of field work or laboratory-based studies in bilateral or multi-partner projects at the request of private companies, government organizations or individual researchers.

The collaborative character is to be addressed in funding mechanisms, intellectual property ownership, patent- and other scientific publications.

Collaborations typically lead to the realisation of publicly funded scientific projects that generate public domain data and knowledge while contract research typically generates access-restricted knowledge.
