Further information: The plasmid was created by mutating the mouse IL1B prosequence from pCR3-pro-IL-1B using overlap PCR, introducing a D108A mutation.
The plasmid is meant to study the mouse IL1B prosequence cleavage site for cleavage by caspase-8.
The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT726862.1.
Referring to the depositor's sequence analysis of pGEM11mIL1B, codon 126 of mouse IL1B encodes for glycin (G) instead of arginin (R), and codon 266 consists of TCT instead of the wild type TCC.
The nucleotide sequence of the wt mouse IL1B prosequence corresponds with the Genbank accession number NM_008361.3.
Other name of the plasmid is pCR3-VSV-pro-IL1betaD108A.
