| Further information: | The plasmid was constructed as follows: pEF-BOShFasR was first digested with SpeI, then partially with XbaI. After filling-in, the plasmid was closed. The correct sequence was confirmed by sequencing. pEF-BOShFasRd bears a truncated human Fas antigen/receptor cDNA, coding for amino acid 1-320; the 15 C-terminal codons, which bind FAP1 (Fas associated phosphatase), are missing. When cloning a fragment downstream from the lac promoter it may be advisable to use lacI(q) strains in order to prevent fortuitous expression of a possibly noxious polypeptide. The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT727278.1. Other name of the plasmid is pEFhFasRdC. |
