| Further information: | The plasmid was constructed by isolating and recircularizing a 9.3 kb BglII fragment of the pSa plasmid. This is a broad host range cloning vector, belonging to the IncW incompatibility family. This plasmid is readily lost from the Escherichia coli host. Always grow under antibiotic selection. The plasmid carries the aacA4 and aadA2 genes, conferring resistance to gentamicin and kanamycin, and to streptomycin and spectinomycin respectively. The nucleotide sequence of the parental pSa plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession numbers U30471.1 and L06822.4. |
