| Further information: | This plasmid is similar to pPLcZCY1, but it contains the complete lacY gene as well as the lacA gene. This plasmid contains the coding sequence for a fusion protein between the first 99 amino acids of MS2 polymerase and β-galactosidase. Expression of a carboxy terminal lacZ and an amino terminal MS2 polymerase (99 amino acids) fused protein is possible via the BamHI site (phase for both fusions: GAT). The natural EcoRI site at the end of lacZ gene was removed by mutation. Other name of the plasmid is pPLc236LacPol2. |
