Further information: | The construction of this vector is described in the publication of Poupart et al. (1987). This plasmid contains the entire hIL6 coding sequence, cloned in the synthetic BglII site of pSP64T between the 5' UTR and 3' UTR regions of the Xenopus laevis β-globin gene, under control of the SP6 promoter. It is possible that the sequence information is incorrect at position 51, and hence that there is a BalI site preceding the BglII site. When cloning a fragment downstream from the lac promoter it may be advisable to use lacI(q) strains in order to prevent fortuitous expression of a possibly noxious polypeptide. The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT727607.1. The nucleotide sequence of the hIL6 cDNA corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number M18403.1. Name mentioned in Poupart et al. (1987) is pSP64T-26K. |
