Further information: This plasmid was constructed by site-specific mutagenesis, creating a second StuI restriction site. The A/Victoria/3/75 influenza neuraminidase gene is excisable as a StuI-XbaI fragment starting at amino acid 52. Codon 51 of the neuraminidase gene (ATG, Met) was mutated to AGG (Arg).
Due to an error in the primer sequence, codon 57 (Ile) was unintentionally changed to Ser.
The nucleotide sequence of wild type IVNA corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number CY015510.1.
Other name of the plasmid is pSV23IVNAs52.
