-
Terminator: Simian virus 40 polyadenylation signal (SV40 polyA)
Selection marker: Ampicillin (amp)
Replicon: Escherichia coli plasmid pMB1 origin
Simian virus 40 bidirectional origin (SV40)
Host range: Escherichia coli; preferably recombination-deficient strains
Mammalian cells; SV40 permissive cells

Further information: The plasmid was constructed by cutting pSV529 with EcoRI; after a Bal 31 treatment nucleotide position 8520 (4271 of pBR322) and nucleotide position 105 (268 of SV40) were ligated with T4 ligase. The Bal 31 deletion extends beyond the SV40 PvuII site.
The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT727593.1.
Other name of the plasmid is pSV531.
