| Further information: | The plasmid was constructed as follows: after a MstII/ClaI digest of pEBHIFNG3, the largest fragment was isolated, treated with Klenow DNA polymerase (filled-in) and ligated. In this way most of the sequences of the Epstein-Barr nuclear antigen 1 and the viral origin (oriP) were deleted. Hence this plasmid cannot be maintained episomally in a eukaryotic cell, but can be used for transient expression in COS cells. The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT727512.1. Other name of the plasmid is p220dHIFNG2. |
