Further information: | The plasmid was constructed by cloning the T. rubrum TERG_01623 coding sequence into the pYES2 yeast expression vector. The plasmid contains the GAL1 promoter for inducible expression of genes by galactose and repression by glucose. The major facilitator superfamily (MFS) is a superfamily of membrane transport proteins that facilitate movement of small solutes across cell membranes in response to chemiosmotic gradients. The T. rubrum TERG_01623 coding sequence shows close homology to the A. fumigatus AFLT coding sequence. The plasmid pYES2-DEST52-TERG_01623 is also available in Saccharomyces cerevisiae under accession number LMBP 12090. The nucleotide sequence of the T. rubrum TERG_01623 cDNA corresponds with the Genbank accession number XM_003236849.1. Other name of the plasmid is pYES2_DEST52_TERG_01623. |
