Further information: | The plasmid was constructed by cloning the T. rubrum TERG_07418 coding sequence into the pYES2 yeast expression vector. The plasmid contains the GAL1 promoter for inducible expression of genes by galactose and repression by glucose. The major facilitator superfamily (MFS) is a superfamily of membrane transport proteins that facilitate movement of small solutes across cell membranes in response to chemiosmotic gradients. The T. rubrum TERG_07418 coding sequence shows close homology to the A. fumigatus MFSB coding sequence. The plasmid pYES2-TERG_07418 is also available in Saccharomyces cerevisiae under accession number LMBP 12085. The nucleotide sequence of the T. rubrum TERG_07418 cDNA corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number MK787258.1. Other name of the plasmid is pYES2_TERG_07418. |
