Genecorner:

-

Cloned DNA: Polyoma strain A2; with deletion
Promoter: -
Ribosome
binding site:
-
Terminator: -
Selection marker: Ampicillin (amp)
Replicon: Escherichia coli plasmid pMB1 origin
Host range: Escherichia coli
Mammalian cells
Parental clone: pAT153
Further information: The plasmid was constructed as follows: polyoma (strain A2 with a deletion of 110 nucleotides at the origin sequence) was BamHI opened, and inserted into the unique BamHI site of pAT153.
The orientation of the polyoma fragment was confirmed by restriction enzyme analysis.
This plasmid is used to transfect mammalian cells, in order to make them permissive for vectors containing the polyoma 'ori', such as pCDM8.

Latest sequence update: 16/06/1992
Authenticity test: Restriction enzyme pattern analysed at GeneCorner: ApaI, Bst98I, HindII and HindIII.
Class: Recombinant plasmid
Type: Plasmid
History of deposit: This plasmid was deposited by Dr C. Basilico(1).
