| Further information: | This plasmid was derived from pBR327 by inserting a Hhal fragment op pBR328, containing the chloramphenicol resistance gene, into the EcoRI site. The cam gene lacks its own promoter but is transcribed from a promoter located in the vicinity of the HindIII site. This plasmid is a pBR322 derivative in which the bom site as well as the region coding for the rop protein have been deleted. The plasmid can not be mobilized. The nucleotide sequence of pBR329 corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number J01753.1; one nucleotide was added to correct the tet coding sequence and the pMB1 ori was adapted according the revisions of pBR322 (Watson, 1988). |
