| Further information: | The cDNA of the A/Puerto Rico/8/34 influenza nucleoprotein gene was inserted in the unique PstI site of pBR322 by dA/dT tailing: 93 nucleotides are missing at the 3' end of the coding sequence, including the termination codon and last 13 amino acids. The nucleotide sequence of the A/Puerto Rico/8/34 nucleoprotein cDNA in the recompiled sequence file corresponds to the one published in Van Rompuy et al., Eur. J. Biochem. 126 (1982), 645. This sequence has also been published by Winter et al., Virology 114 (1981), 423-428, but differs in 15 nucleotides. Name mentioned in Van Rompuy et al. (1981) is pX 5/2. |
