-
Terminator: Mouse stem cell PCMV virus long terminal repeat (3' MSCV-PCMV LTR)
Selection marker: Ampicillin (amp)
Puromycin (puro)

Host range: Escherichia coli; preferably recombination-deficient strains
Mammalian cells
Parental clone: pMSCV-FLAG-puromycin
Further information: The plasmid contains the mouse stem cell PCMV (PCC4-cell-passaged myeloproliferative sarcoma virus) virus long terminal repeat. The LTR drives high-level constitutive expression of BirA in stem cells and other mammalian cell lines.
The plasmid contains also the extended retroviral packaging signal, Ψ+, which promotes high-titer production of replication-incompetent infectious viral particles after introduction into a packaging cell line.
The plasmid is used in cotransfection with clones carrying the bio-tag for purification of biotinylated proteins.
The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT726944.1.
Other names of the plasmid are MSCV-BirA and MSCVp-F-BirA.
