| Further information: | This plasmid was constructed by inserting the human Fas antigen/receptor cDNA (hFasR; XbaI fragment of pCDM8hFasR) between the XbaI sites of pSP64MxpA. The orientation of the inserted gene is sense relative to the Mx promoter. The plasmid contains the mouse Mx promoter including 19 nucleotides downstream from the TATA-box, ending at position -1 which is the middle of the lost PvuII site. When cloning a fragment downstream from the lac promoter it may be advisable to use lacI(q) strains in order to prevent fortuitous expression of a possibly noxious polypeptide. The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT727469.1. Other name of the plasmid is pMxFas. |
