Mammalian cells; SV40 permissive cells
Parental clone: pSV23IVNAm1
Further information: The plasmid was constructed by introducing a StuI site in codons 78 and 79 of the IVNA coding sequence of pSV23IVNAm1, using the site-specific mutagenesis protocol described in Morinaga et al. (1984).
This plasmid is useful for isolation of the head region of mature neuraminidase cDNA as a StuI/HindIII fragment.
The introduction of the StuI site gave rise to a C78R mutation, and a silent mutation in codon 79. The IVNA coding sequence also includes C42S, D43M and S44A mutations.
The nucleotide sequence of wild type IVNA corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number CY015510.1.
Other name of the plasmid is pSV23IVdNAN.
