| Further information: | To make this plasmid the SalI fragment of pUR250IVHA8si, coding for a secreted haemagglutinin and containing an in-frame termination codon (HA8si), was inserted into the unique SalI site of pSV24. Only two amino acids are added by the STOP linker insertion: Leu (amino acid 187; identical to the wild type sequence) and Ser.
