| Further information: | The plasmid was constructed by inserting the Escherichia coli lac repressor gene (lacI) with the mutated lac repressor promoter (lacI(q)) as a SalI fragment of pDMI,1 into the SalI site of the polylinker of pUC18. The orientation of the inserted fragment is clockwise. The lacI(q) repressor cassette allows the use of any E. coli host strain instead of only strains overproducing lac repressor. pUC18lacIq has no PstI site in the ampicillin resistance gene. The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT727455.1. |
