| Further information: | The plasmid was derived from pEF6/Myc-HisA by inserting the human X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis protein cDNA (hXIAP). The termination codon of the hXIAP gene is present. As a result, the C-terminal Myc epitope and histidine tag are not expressed. The plasmid is designed for high-level expression of hXIAP under control of the hEF1α promoter in mammalian cells. The plasmid carries the ampicillin resistance gene for selection in Escherichia coli and the blasticidin resistance gene for selection in both E. coli and mammalian cells. The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT727091.1. The nucleotide sequence at the insertion points of the hXIAP gene was verified by sequencing. The nucleotide sequence of the hXIAP cDNA was obtained from Genbank (Accession number U45880.1. Other name of the plasmid is pEF6XIAP. |
