Further information: | This is an expression vector for yeast. Expression sites: BamHI, EcoRI and SmaI. Only the BamHI site is unique. This plasmid is different from pEX2, accession numbers NCCB 3076 and PC-V3076. The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT727553.1. Name mentioned in Ernst et al. (1985) is pEX-2. |

Authenticity test: | Restriction enzyme pattern analysed at GeneCorner: BamHI, EcoRI, EcoRV, NcoI/XmnI, NdeI, SalI, SphI and XbaI. As compared to the fragments deduced from the compiled nucleotide sequence, the 334 bp XmnI/NcoI fragment of the 5' CYC1 promoter region seems to be rather approximately 200 bp long. Referring to other plasmids containing the CYC1 promoter region without this XmnI/NcoI fragment, we assume that the CYC1 promoter in pEX2 is functional (not experimentally verified). |
