Further information: pIB4 is an integrating vector for regulated gene expression in P. pastoris under the control of the strong, highly-inducible P. pastoris AOX1 promoter.
The plasmid contains a modified pUC19 polylinker: the XbaI and SalI sites are replaced by SpeI and XhoI sites respectively.
pIB4 contains a modified P. pastoris HIS4 gene: the internal BamHI site is removed and the KpnI sites are eliminated because of two silent point mutations.
The nucleotide sequence of pIB4 corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number AF027961.1.
EMBL Accession number: AF027961.1, view at EMBL, GenBank, DDBJ
