| Further information: | This plasmid contains the coding sequence for a fusion protein between the first 98 amino acids of MS2 polymerase and β-galactosidase. Expression of a carboxy terminal lacZ and an amino terminal MS2 polymerase (98 amino acids) fused protein is possible via the BamHI site (phase for both fusions: GAT). The lacY gene is not complete but still functional. The natural EcoRI site at the end of lacZ was removed by mutation. Other name of the plasmid is pPLc236LacdelYPol12. |
