Terminator: Simian virus 40 polyadenylation signal (SV40 polyA)
Herpes simplex virus (HSV) thymidine kinase polyadenylation signal (TK polyA)
Selection marker: Ampicillin (amp)
Hygromycin (hyg)
Replicon: Escherichia coli plasmid pMB1 origin
Epstein-Barr virus origin of replication (oriP)
Host range: Escherichia coli
Mammalian cells
Parental clone: pREP4
Further information: The plasmid was constructed by inserting two complementary oligonucleotides, containing a FLAG epitope and a BamHI site, between the filled-in BamHI and HindIII sites of pREP4 (Invitrogen).
pREP4FLAG is an Epstein-Barr virus-based vector for episomal expression in mammalian cells.
It contains the Rous sarcoma virus long terminal repeat for high-level expression of recombinant proteins. The expression cassette is provided with an N-terminal FLAG epitope tag, followed by a BamHI site.
The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT727192.1.
Other name of the plasmid is pREP4Flag.
