| Further information: | pGEM1gHIL61 was constructed by inserting the genomic human interleukin 6 (hIL6) XbaI fragment, containing the 5' flanking region, the promoter, the first and second exon, the entire first intron and part of the second intron from pURgHIL61, into the unique XbaI expression site of pGEM1. This plasmid permits the in vitro transcription of hIL6 antisense RNA from the SP6 promoter. The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT727606.1. The nucleotide sequence of the genomic hIL6 DNA corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number AC073072 .11. However, the C nucleotide at promoter position -174 (polymorphism mutant) was changed into a G nucleotide (wild type). Name mentioned in Haegeman et al. (1987) is SP6/26-kd gDNA. |
