| Further information: | The plasmid was constructed by inserting the PstI fragment of pUC18kan1 (containing the kanamycin resistance gene) into the PstI site of the superlinker of pSE380. The orientation of the inserted fragment is clockwise. pSE380kan1 is an expression vector containing the lacI(q) (lac repressor) cassette. This allows the use of any E. coli host strain, instead of only strains overproducing E. coli lac repressor. |
