Further information: | This plasmid was derived from pRM1 by removal of the Esp3I/NruI fragment containing the Candida albicans LEU2 gene. pRM2 is a non-integrative, double-ARS shuttle vector for C. albicans strains. The presence of both C. albicans autonomously replicating sequences ARS2 and ARS3 allows direct recovery in Escherichia coli of non-multimerized plasmids from C. albicans transformants without any intermediate step in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. When cloning a fragment downstream from the lac promoter it may be advisable to use lacI(q) strains in order to prevent fortuitous expression of a possibly noxious polypeptide. The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT727064.1. The nucleotide sequence of the CaURA3 DNA corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number X14198.1. HOWEVER, THERE MIGHT BE CORRESPONDENCE WITH AF109400.1: see LMBP 4100. |

Authenticity test: | Restriction enzyme pattern analysed at GeneCorner: AlwNI/NcoI, BamHI, HindII, HindIII, NdeI, PstI, SalI, ScaI and XmnI. The restriction site analysis pattern corresponds to the compiled nucleotide sequence file, with one exception; the results of the HindII digestion do suppose that the plasmid is approx. 100 bp longer. |
